How to play
Moving around is done using WASD or the arrow keys. Abilities are assigned to Q, E, R, T and the digits 1 to 4. On a phone, tapping anywhere on the field creates a control stick under your finger, directing movement based on how far you drag it. Abilities can be activated by tapping in the bottom-left corner. The basic attack doesn't require a button; the membrane automatically releases a ring. The frequency of attacks depends on health — the healthier the strain, the more frequent the strikes. When a cell is killed, its nucleus can be devoured or absorbed. Devouring grants a new ability or enhances an existing one; up to four can be carried. Absorbing turns the nucleus into biomass, which can be used to upgrade the strain between runs. Above the health bar is the membrane, acting as the cell's armour. It takes damage first, reducing it by half. Levels are gained through kills. A run lasts ten minutes, after which Immunity appears; the run ends with either its death or the strain's.
