How to play
The objective of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all the cards. The last player with cards in their hand is declared the loser. The game begins with the player holding the lowest-ranking trump card. During the game, when it's a player's turn, they must put any card from their hand onto the table. The next player, in turn, must either beat the card or take it. To beat a card, the next player must place a higher card of the same suit or a trump card on top of it. However, if the played card is a trump, it can only be beaten by a higher-ranking trump. In certain versions of the game, a player can discard one or more cards of any suit that match the rank of a card already in play. The rules remain the same for the transferable fool version, but the next player can choose to not only cover the cards, but also pass the move to their opponent using a card of equal rank to the one that was played.
