How to play
Game regulations: Victory: A player wins if their opponent's king is under check and there is no escape, resulting in checkmate. Draw: The game may end in a draw if a player is unable to move but is not in check, or if neither player can achieve checkmate due to a lack of pieces. Stalemate: A stalemate occurs when neither player is able to make a move that doesn't put their king in check. This typically happens when there are not enough pieces left on the board to achieve checkmate, for example: - King against king and bishop; - King versus king and knight; - Kings and bishops against kings and bishops (with bishops of the same color). Castle: Castle is a special move involving the king and one of its rooks. It allows the king to move two squares towards a rook, then the rook moves to the square crossed by the king. The king must be between the rook and the opponent's pieces for this move to be valid. Restrictions on castle: - The king or the involved rook has previously moved; - The king is currently under check; - Moving the king would result in it being put under check.
